Bancroft recently completed a fit-out to 7th and 3rd floor shell space within the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in downtown Wilmington, DE. The fit-out of the 30,790 SF space included three hearing rooms and five courtrooms as well as judges’ chambers, administrative space, an intake counter, offices, file space, security spaces and infrastructure, and staff support spaces. As a result of construction, Justice of the Peace Courts 10 & 20 were relocated to the Williams Justice Center and were designed to maximize flexibility for different court use. Construction occurred off hours to minimize disruption to the other building occupants. The Bancroft team erected an exterior construction elevator for the duration of the project, which was used to separate construction from ongoing building operations.
