The nearly 9,000-SF fit-out located on the third floor of the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE was designed by Ewing Cole and serves as a safe haven for patients and their families. The space features areas for children to take part in table games, arts & crafts, play with video games, read, and take part in cooking activities. Program space includes offices, observation rooms in art therapy, sensory play, and music therapy. The Nemours team of certified Child Life specialists are skilled at supporting patients and their families during stressful medical events. They strive to empower children and families, while partnering with them to meet their individual needs.
