Bancroft Celebrates Topping-Out of River House Apartments
October 24, 2022 1:11 pmOn Thursday, October 20th, state and local officials, along with City of Wilmington Mayor Michael S. Purzycki joined project developer Washington Place Equities, Bancroft Construction, Plano-Coudon Construction, and trade partners to celebrate the topping-out of the River House development, a new luxury apartment building in Wilmington, Delaware.
The 139,340 square foot apartment building constructed by Bancroft Construction and Plano-Coudon will stand five stories tall, with a beautiful overlook of the Christina River and downtown Wilmington. The building is comprised of 150 units and amenity spaces such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, lounge area, and a rooftop lounge with a green roof and bar area. The apartments will offer a variety of floor plans, including studio, one and two-bedroom options, many of which will have spectacular water views. High-end finishes will accent the interiors, such as quartz counters, brushed nickel fixtures, and ceramic tile floors. Developed by Washington Place Equities and designed by Alexander Design Studio, the building will be the first of its kind, bringing luxury to the east side of the Christina River.
“River House is not only a monumental project for the City of Wilmington but is also a key project in the revitalization efforts underway within the East Side of the Riverfront,” says Bobby Judge, Business Development Manager for Bancroft Construction. “As a member of the Wilmington community for over 47 years, Bancroft is a proud partner of Baltimore-based Washington Place Equities and Plano-Coudon. We look forward to the positive impact that River House will make on our city for the years to come.”
Construction on the project began in September of 2021 and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2023. For more information about River House, please visit the community’s website at LiveRiverHouse.com.
