Working Together to Build a Better Delaware

On Friday, June 29, we were happy to host Senator Tom Carper at our Wilmington, DE, Headquarters to meet with key members of our Wilmington staff and tour our building. There, we discussed the exciting changes that everyone is seeing take place before our very eyes across all of Delaware. In market segments such as agricultural, STEM, healthcare, and others, Delaware is expanding and evolving, and politicians like Senator Carper are making sure that it is in the national spotlight and forefront of relocating business’ minds.
Business Development Manager, Bobby Judge, who was key in planning Senator Carper’s visit to Bancroft and is a lifelong Delaware resident, was very happy with the conversation and is eager to see what the future holds for Bancroft’s Delaware growth. “As a company with deeps roots in Delaware, we’re looking forward to becoming more integrated within the planning, design, and construction stages for those companies looking to expand within or relocate here,” he said. “We’re also excited to establish closer connections to Senator Carper’s county representatives to create an opportunity to add the most value for our clients.”
The core of our conversation was focused around utilizing our outside-Delaware experience that we’ve developed and cultivated to assist in bringing new, exciting projects into Delaware as a planning and construction expert. Coupled with our vast Delaware experience – STAR Campus being a major focus of growth for New Castle County – Bancroft’s expertise and knowledge can be advantageous for those thinking about why Delaware is the perfect location for their new facility.
“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to comfortably exchange our ideas together with Senator Carper and his team to strengthen economic development in Delaware,” said Greg Sawka, President and CEO of Bancroft Construction. “Our collaborative dialog was much more focused as stakeholders for the future of the State as opposed to builders of buildings.”
Our Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development, Cindy Campanella was integral in organizing Senator Carper’s visit to Bancroft Construction.
In attendance at Friday’s meeting were members of Senator Carper’s team along with representatives from each of Delaware’s counties. We’d like to thank everyone again for coming to meet us and see our Delaware office!
