Bancroft Named Unprecedented Six-Time Winner of National Safety Award
Bancroft Construction Company was recently named the winner of the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) 2009 Construction Industry Safety Excellence Award. This marks the sixth time that Bancroft has won this prestigious national award. Bancroft was one of only five award winners selected from hundreds of applicants nationwide and was recognized in the category of General Building Contractors with 500,000 to 1,000,000 man hours per year.
According to CURT, the awards program is designed to improve safety performance within the industry and is conferred upon companies who can demonstrate exemplary programs of contractor safety management that go beyond merely adopting a safety program. Programs must demonstrate a serious and persistent commitment as well as active collaborative involvement to make the program work. The awards are given to merit commendable safety performance over a three-year period and are administered through National Construction Industry Associations.
Bancroft Safety Manager Dave Hatfield will be attending the 2009 CURT National Conference in Orlando, Fl, on Nov. 16, to accept the award.
